Winter, Spring...

The new releases from Dusty Attic are mostly based around additional accents for the shadow boxes and other fabulous elements, with insert trays and mini accents, snowflakes, flowers, foliage and wings - I need them all LOL.  The Snowflakes are a real treat, delicately cut and so intricate, totally beautiful.  And so began a series of Shadow Boxes, all from the inspiration of a sheet of snowflakes!

 Winter

All pieces were inked and then sprayed with Chalk Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, the fence and tree both have some Verdigris Embossing powder sprinkled over them, and some white embossing powder added on the tree to enhance the cold wintery look.  The tree was also coated in some Tinsel Town Glimmer Glam to add to the shimmery cold feel of winter.

and what better to do with the new Flower Layers than create...

 Spring

Spring is all fresh and new, cool and green... new butterflies, new flowers.  The Picket Fence was simply painted white, then Picket Fence Crackle Paint was applied to add a slightly worn look.  The Vine was painted and then inked, misted etc.

The Flower Layers were much fun!   This one shown here was created from just 1 layer... there is a Tutorial available for this at Dusty Attic Ning, click the image below to take you there.

The frames were painted to match the papers I chose to cover the front and inside.  Layers of paints and crackles, stickles and Glimmer Glam... there will be a tutorial available for this sometime soon as well!

Summer and Autumn are still works in progress!  Personally I am hanging for the REAL Autumn to get here, I'm a little weary of summer LOL!!

Take care of you.
